LG Minister Nasir Hussain inaugurates water pipeline for Lyari

Karachi: Sindh Local Government (LG) Minister Nasir Hussain Shah inaugurated new 32-inches diameter water line for Lyari Town from Old Sabzi Mandi Sindhi Hotel Bridge to Bakra Pedi Bridge. On directives Karachi Water and Sewerage Board started work on project to further improve water supply in Lyari Town.

Nasir Hussain said that government is taking steps to further improve water supply and drainage in city. In this regard it fulfilling long-standing demand of people of Lyari. He said that government provided funds for this project. MD KWSB Muhammad Rafiq Qureshi briefed about project. He said that project will be completed in eight months with a cost of Rs 960 million.

He said after completion, project will provide 27 million gallons of water per day. Minister of Labour Saeed Ghani, Administrator Murtaza Wahab, VC KWSB Syed Najmi Alam, Secretary LG Syed Najam Shah, CE Water Muhammad Haneef Baloch, PPP leader Javed Naguri? SO to MD Elahi Bakhsh Bhutto, SE Muhammad Riaz and SE Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh participated.
