Omar Ayub appointed NA opposition leader

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Omar Ayub Khan has been appointed leader of opposition in National Assembly (NA) following process of scrutiny.

As per details, NA secretariat has issued notification of opposition leader in Lower House of Parliament. Development follows after nominated candidate for opposition leader Omar Ayub, along with PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Aamer Dogar called on National Assembly Speaker wherein Ayaz Sadiq apprised Omar Ayub that notification would be issued.

Appointment of leader of opposition and parliamentary leader in National Assembly was delayed due to disagreements over issue of leader of opposition and parliamentary leader within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Talking to newsmen after appointment as opposition leader in NA, Omar Ayub Khan thanked PTI founder, Barrister Gohar and party members for trusting him for post.

PTI leader repeated his stance and said ‘Form 47’ people were allowed to form government.
