KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party senior leader and former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain congratulated PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on becoming the country’s 14th President.

Dr Asim Hussain while congratulating Asif Ali Zardari wrote on his official Twitter, now ‘X’ handle “Heartfelt congratulations to Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on being elected as the 14th President of Pakistan.”

“His leadership & political acumen will undoubtedly fortify democratic institutions and here’s to a prosperous future under his guidance”, Dr Asim wrote further.

Talking exclusively to ‘Daily National Courier’, Dr Asim Hussain said that under the presidency of Asif Zardari, Pakistan will once again reinvigorate on the path of economic development, deepening cordial ties with the global world, advancement in the field of agriculture and strengthening the horizon of bolster in the IT sector and social well-being of masses in the coming days.

In addition to this, Dr Asim said that under the leadership of President Zardari, massive development works will be carried out in Karachi along with the upgradation of the city’s infrastructure and the completion of development projects worth billions.

He also said, “Under Asif Zardari’s guidance, PM Shehbaz’s government will overcome economic woes, and challenges and work for the betterment of the country and masses”.

Dr Asim said that this is high time to work with consensus to bring positive changes in the country’s socio-economic sector and to bring peace and order in the country.
