People’s Bus service to be launched from Sukkur to Larkana

Karachi: Sindh senior Minister for Information, Transport, Mass Transit and Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Sharjeel Memon in meeting of Transport Department here said that vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari is to connect tehsils with district headquarters.

We are considering bringing scheme under this vision. He said that under Chairman Bilawal instruction, Peoples’ Bus Service will be started from Sukkur to Larkana and Sukkur to Khairpur.

He was given briefing on construction of various BRTs, signals and reconstruction of bus terminals, as well as construction of U-turn for Peoples’ Bus Service. It was decided to construct parking plaza to reduce traffic pressure in central areas of Hyderabad.

Memon was briefed regarding completion of construction work of eight bus terminals. He was informed that work on these eight bus terminals has been completed and they will be functional by June.

Friday.  Secretary of Transport Asad Zaman, Sindh Mass Transit Authority MD Kamal Hakeem Dayo, and other officials participated in the meeting.
