PMC to finalise arrangements for MDCAT in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) Professor Dr. Naushad Sheikh reviewed arrangements for MDCAT test in Balochistan scheduled in November wherein 8,300 students of province would participate.

He held a meeting with Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Aqeeli to discuss arrangements. Pakistan Medical Commission member Professor Dr. Naqibullah Achakzai, Pro Vice Chancellor Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta Professor Dr. Farida Kakar, Principal Bolan Medical College Professor Dr. Zahir Khan Mandukhel, DG Health Balochistan Dr. Noor Qazi and other officials were present in meeting.

In meeting, president reviewed arrangements of MDCAT going to be held in November. He said that eight thousand three hundred students from Balochistan have been registered online for admission in medical and dental colleges. President apprised that PMC Council has decided to hold MDCAT exam by provinces through public universities.

He said that according to syllabus of PMC, paper will be prepared with consultation of educational system of provinces. He said that Balochistan government should determine MDCAT exam according to its policy.

He said that a complete office of Pakistan Medical Commission will be built in Balochistan and Balochistan government should help in giving land.
