SHC resents over inaction in 10 missing persons’ cases

 KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) expressed resentment over inaction of investigation officers and others in search of 10 missing citizens.

“It has not yet decided even after 12 years that missing persons went themselves or someone take them by force,” Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto remarked. “No doubt JIT and provincial Task Force holding sessions. Families of missing persons are worried there should be relief for them,” Justice Phulpoto said. “Case of missing citizen was with AVCC for 12 years, now it has come to us,” an IO said.

Court directed investigation officers for progress in probe on daily basis. Bench also called reports from all jails and detention centres in country. Court also summoned head of joint investigation team over failure in tracing missing citizen, disappeared for last 12 years from Ajmer Nagri. Bench directed for financial assistance of family of citizen missing from Mominabad locality since year 2012.

Sindh High Court also summoned report in case from federal government by August 12.
