As the year comes to a close, Spotify’s 2023 Wrapped has unveiled the music trends that shaped Pakistan’s listening habits, showcasing an 82% growth in local music consumption and a diverse sonic landscape.
Atif Aslam and Talha Anjum maintained their positions as the top local artists, accompanied by emerging talents such as Umair, Abdul Hannan, and Rovalio, as well as established names like Talhah Yunus, Asim Azhar, and Young Stunners.
The legendary Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Sufi artist Rahat Fateh Ali Khan continue to hold a significant place in the hearts of audiences, completing the list of the top 10 most streamed local artists.
Arijit Singh tops the list of overall artists, reflecting the eclectic taste of Pakistani listeners, with global sensations like Taylor Swift and The Weeknd sharing the limelight.
From Kaifi Khalil’s “Kahani Suno 2.0” to Talha Anjum’s “Downers at Dusk,” the top tracks showcase the varied musical palette of Pakistani listeners.
“Kahani Suno 2.0” emerges not only as the most streamed track in Pakistan but also as the most streamed Pakistani song globally. Shae Gill retains her position as the most streamed Pakistani woman artist.
