Karachi: Aimed to help flood affected people, ekaterra has pledged to donate 100 tonnes of tea to more than one million displaced families. Relief assistance will be provided through its partner organisations, Indus Hospital, The Citizens Foundation, Al-Khidmat Foundation and Roshan Academy.

Farheen Salman Amir President BSPAN and GM Pakistan ekaterra said that ekaterra believes in giving back more than it takes from nature.  Flood devastation in Pakistan is of an unimaginable magnitude, almost 20 percent of world’s 5th most populous country is submerged under water.

Pakistan emits less than one percent of greenhouse gases in world and yet it is still reeling from effects of intense climate change said Farheen while announcing tea donation.  Pakistan continues its relentless battle against floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains which have claimed 1,500 lives and injured over 2,000 people.
