ISLAMABAD: Seven people died whereas more than 43 were injured in stampede during distribution of free flour in different cities of country.

As per reports from different parts of country, 43 women have been injured, one among them has died due to police violence at free of cost flour distribution centers established in Quaid-e-Azam Stadium.  Eye witnesses said, police could not control crowd of people due to closing of Atta App. A person died who waited for his turn for hours in rush. Stampede has taken life of an old lady in Muzaffargarh whereas 3 persons who were waiting for hours in queues died due to heart attack in Multan, Faisalabad and Kot Addu. A citizen has died due to crowd and stampede there in Charsaddah.

Lack of discipline has been seen on occasion of distribution of free of cost flour in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Doors of a flour mill were smashed and a woman’s arm was broken. Severe stampede also occurred during distribution of free of cost flour in HafizAbad and many men and women were also injured. Police also allegedly tortured to reduce rush.

Citizens blamed that, incident has happened due to poor managements of district administration.
