Arrangements to celebrate 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal underway: Taha

KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Salim said that lovers of Prophet (PBUH) are working day and night in providing all municipal facilities. Along with this, special attention is also being paid to improving means of transportation and road carpeting on procession routes on Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (peace be upon him).

But he said that this month, about eight hundred and fifty thousand square feet of road carpeting was done on various highways of central district by central district, while road carpeting work is still going on at many places. He expressed his views along with Municipal Commissioner Central Zahid Hussain Rand during an emergency visit to different areas of Central District regarding celebration of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi. He earlier met organisers of procession.

He said that cleaning campaign is going on in district with full force, while on occasion of celebration of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi, gathering of Milad-ul-Nabi and lining of roads on procession routes and along with transplanting work, special measures are being taken to stop leakage of water and sewage lines while better lighting arrangements are being made. There should not be any negligence or laziness in provision of facilities. He said that every religious day should be celebrated with devotion and respect in central district. He inspected filling of pits, correctness and installation of streetlights and directed to complete work as soon as possible.
