ISLAMABAD: Post-mortem report of senior Pakistani journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif who was murdered in Kenya has been handed over to his mother in Islamabad, it emerged. On other hand, post-mortem report of Arshad Sharif has also been shared with Kenyan authorities, Independent Police Oversight Authority of Kenya, IG Police Kenya and Director of Public Prosecution.

According to media report Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has handed over post-mortem report to his mother. FIA Senior Director Athar Waheed met Arshad Sharif’s mother. He also informed family about progress made so far in case. It was right of Arshad Sharif’s mother to know truth and family has every legal right to access post-mortem. According to post-mortem report Arshad Sharif had torture marks on his body at time of post-mortem in Pakistan. A copy of report was received in Kenya through Pakistan’s official diplomatic channels.
