ISLAMABAD: Bilawal House Islamabad has once again become centre of political activities as PPP’s co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari announced to bring no confidence moves in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies after PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan announced to dissolve same.

PDM led federal government already warned to go to any extent to save Punjab Assembly so that general election may take place as per its schedule. Contacts, meetings and consultative meetings has been increased and this time centre of these activities is Bilawal House Islamabad and axis is former President Asif Zardari.

In a private TV channel interview, Asif Zardari said that they have seats in KP but few friends are misguided. They have to be brought back, he said. He said that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies are dissolved and elections are held, then Pakistan Peoples’ Party will participate in elections. Asif Zardari said that elections before time are neither in our favour nor in favour of democracy.

If they do not dissolve assemblies, we will continue to do opposition in two provinces. According to reports, government is interpreting Imran Khan’s announcement as “playing a bluff” and Bilawal Bhutto has also claimed in his party’s foundation day meeting in Karachi that Imran Khan will not take such decision in any way. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also given task to Asif Zardari to manage ongoing political scenario.

Play his role in light of his political insight and past experience because no-confidence motion, manipulation, misappropriation of members can start anytime for which preparations and strategies are being formulated in Bilawal House. There are also reports of phone calls between Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who has returned to London after Imran Khan’s announcement of leaving assemblies.

Ali Zardari discussed with him about his Lahore mission in this regard. After which, according to reports, Muslim League ministers consulted Asif Zardari at Bilawal House, but at present PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman is not involved in this scene due to his absence in Islamabad.
