ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar rejected speculations about an extension in tenure of national and provincial assemblies, terming them ‘rumours’, report said.

Talking to journalists outside Parliament House here, Finance Minister rejected speculations about an extension in tenure of assemblies, saying that no such planning was underway. In response to a question, Ishaq Dar said that that ‘scourge of terrorism’ can be eliminated though unity, noting that Pakistan had once successfully eliminated terrorism. “In past, all operations against terrorism were done with domestic resources”, Finance Minister said, condemning suicide blast at masjid in Peshawar’s Police Lines area.
