GUJRANWALA: Gujranwala Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted police a 12-day physical remand of accused Naveed over assassination attempt on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Wazirabad.

Gujranwala ATC heard case of an assassination attempt on former premier, where accused, Naveed was presented before ATC. For investigation over gunfire attack on PTI Chairman, police requested court for getting 30-day physical remand of accused Naveed, after which ATC was granted 12-day physical remand of accused Naveed who was arrested from spot after shooting.

Deputy District Public Prosecutor Sultan Salahuddin appeared on behalf of state, while tight security arrangements were made outside special court.
