HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples' Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on people of Hyderabad to vote for his party in February 8 general elections, pledging city's development if voted into power.

Addressing public rally in connection with elections 2024, he urged people of Hyderabad to ensure that his party secures all seats, vowing that he would personally spearhead development initiatives in city.

Bilawal Bhutto criticised lack of positive contributions from any party to city's development in past. "You have to block attempts of all those parties who are trying to come to power again and have no past performance," he said.

He pointed out that PPP's opponents rely on politics centered on, "Violence, hate, and division. "Some parties wanted to exploit religious or ethnic differences among voters," he added.

He underscored PPP's commitment to eradicating politics of animosity and concentrating on resolving genuine issues confronting masses.

He reiterated his promise to construct 3 million houses for underprivileged once in power and also assured provision of 300 megawatts of free electricity through solar energy.

Furthermore, Bilawal Bhutto pledged to double country's income if voted to power in upcoming February 8 elections. "I am committed not only to boosting economy but to doubling it," he added.

In an interview with private TV channel, he that PPP is well-acquainted with PML-N, as their leaders are “Most vindictive” and tend to hold onto past grudges.

“I believe if we talk about taking revenge, then our purpose of serving masses won’t be fulfilled,” Bilawal said in reference to PML-N supremo.

He added that Nawaz would resort to revenge tactics if he returns to power, regardless of whether it takes six months or even two years.
