Case registered for dumping garbage into Malir River

 KARACHI: Korangi police registered first against dumping garbage into Malir River at Causeway Road. Dumper driver Irfanullah was caught red-handed while dumping garbage into Malir River in wee hours of Sunday night.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah during visit to Korangi district showed resentment over dumping of garbage on roads.

He ordered police to arrest whoever was found dumping garbage on roads and in Malir River.

 

Meanwhile, Lahore High Court also ordered imposition of fine for dumping garbage on roads. Orders were passed by court while hearing case related to increasing threat of smog in province. At outset of hearing, LHC bench showed resentment over burning of garbage against court orders.

Justice Shahid Karim while summoning detailed report from CEO of Lahore Waste Management Board remarked he would be held responsible if garbage was burnt on roads.
