DIG Dr Maqsood praises LEAs performance after Pak-England T20 matches ended peacefully in Karachi

Karachi: Four T-20 matches between Pakistan and England cricket teams at National Stadium Karachi ended peacefully with a joint efforts of all law enforcement agencies. Under supervision of DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, comprehensive fool-proof security arrangements were made during matches played at National Stadium which ended successfully yesterday with managing a mammoth around 35,000 (house full) spectators in all four matches.

According to security plan, more than 4,000 personnel of law and enforcement agencies were deployed at National Stadium, Airport, routes, hotels and other different locations. With a joint collaboration of Security Division and Pakistan Cricket Board, more than 600 flood victims witnessed T-20 matches live at National Stadium.

Flood victims were brought to stadium via special buses of Special Security Unit from their residential camps at various areas in Karachi. They were also offered meal and refreshment boxes at stadium by Special Security Unit. Dr. Maqsood Ahmed conveyed 'Shabaash' to all ranks of Security Division and personnel of other law and enforcement agencies in conduct of successful and peaceful cricket matches.  Commending performance of Sindh police he said that personnel and officers performed their duties diligently and enhanced prestige of department.
