Faisal Kundi vows to bring KP tensions with Centre down

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi vowed to resolve province’s problems related with federal government. In conversation with private TV channel, he said will try to bring tensions down between federal government and province. “To avoid any loss to people of province”.

Kundi said that case of Senate election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been in Supreme Court, “High Court has ordered government to hold oath-taking for reserved seats”. “Supreme Court instead of stay order on decision of high court has issued notice,” KP Governor said. “Provincial government could face contempt of court over non-compliance of court’s order,” he said. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has yet to convene its session on law-and-order situation in province, he said. He said oath-taking for reserved seats, if not taking place, it will definitely be held today. Faisal Karim Kundi has served as Deputy Speaker of National Assembly from 2008 to 2013. He was also an Adviser to Prime Minister in PDM government.
