Internet connectivity issues due to data networks: PTA

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said issue has been reported in Internet data networks between South and North which was causing Internet connectivity issues.

In a Tweet, PTA said it is monitoring situation and further updates will be shared after investigation. Meanwhile, Pakistan Telecommunication Company in a statement said that its optical fiber network is experiencing some technical faults due to heavy rains and floods. Statement said as a result of fault, PTCL users in northern and central regions are facing internet outage. It said teams are working to restore services on priority basis.
