Selena Gomez recently opened up about her long-standing friendship with Taylor Swift, revealing that their bond began in 2008 when they were both dating members of the Jonas Brothers.

Appearing on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, Gomez shared that their initial connection came during their teenage years, when she was dating Nick Jonas and Swift was with Joe Jonas. “Taylor and I both dated the Jonas Brothers,” she said.

“I dated Nick, she dated Joe. We were young-it was all very cute.” Gomez added that, in hindsight, the best thing to come out of those youthful relationships was their friendship. “We didn’t know what we were doing, but we like to say the sweetest outcome was finding each other.”

Recalling those early days, Gomez affectionately described Swift’s iconic “curly hair and bracelets” phase. The two quickly bonded over their breakups, a moment that sparked a friendship that has lasted 16 years.
