Rashid Hashmi elected chairman in KCHSU elections, Captain M. Aijaz Haroon’s panel wins all positions

KARACHI: Rashid Hashmi has been elected as Chairman in the regular elections of the Karachi Cooperative Housing Societies Union (KCHSU). According to the Election Commission, Captain M. Aijaz Haroon’s panel achieved a clean sweep by winning all positions.
The successful candidates include Asif Majid as President, Rehan Qadir as Vice President, Asma Chinoy as Vice Chairperson, and Asad Nomani as Managing Director. The elections were held under the supervision of a High Court observer, and members of the societies actively participated in the voting process.
These elections were conducted following a formal order of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan so that the daily issues of housing societies could be addressed by an elected union. The newly elected cabinet has now officially taken charge and will work under the leadership of Chairman Rashid Hashmi to resolve the problems of the societies.
