KARACHI: Former Prime Minister of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and sitting President of Islamic World Academy of Sciences Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran and Dean of Sciences American University of Beirut Islamic World Academy of Sciences Prof. Dr. Elias Baydoun, on special invitation of Vice Chancellor of Federal Urdu University Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Islamabad Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari visited FUUAST Islamabad. 

Guests were accorded warm welcome by Incharge FUUAST Islamabad Campus Dr. Ihtsham Haq Padda, Additional Registrar Muhammad Aleem Raza along with heads of various departments. Both guests were presented bouquets of flowers by in-charge of campus. VC FUUAST while introducing guests, said that since last two decades, Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran and Prof. Dr. Elias Baydoun have had close brotherly relations and we have achieved many milestones together in field of science and technology.

Incharge FUUAST’s Gulshan Iqbal Campus Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zahid Incharge of Abdul Haq Campus Dr. Shahid Iqbal, Treasurer Muhammad Danish Ehsan and all heads of departments welcomed distinguished guests and briefly introduced themselves. Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari presented brief introduction of Federal Urdu University.  Explaining vision of University, he said that in next few years, FUUAST will provide leadership not only to Pakistan, but to entire Muslim ummah, which will play significant role in education, health and all other fields. Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran thanked Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari on inviting them to FUUAST and said that he is very pleased to visit Federal Urdu and said that he is very impressed by leadership skills of Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari and he believes that Federal Urdu University will become best university in the world under leadership of Professor Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari and whole world.

 He said that Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has relations with Pakistan in fields of military, education and finance and there is need to further strengthen these relations. Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran while addressing heads of departments said that water, energy, basic and quality food will be challenges in coming time and all of them are directly related to artificial intelligence, database and technology. There is need to deploy human resources effectively and efficiently using modern technology, he added. Prof. Dr. Elias Baydoun thanked Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari for inviting him to Federal Urdu University and said that Vice President of Islamic World Academy of Sciences is very grateful and hopefully, with same vision and passion, Dr. Shinwari will make Urdu University one of best universities in world.
