Pakistan desires peace with all, enmity with none: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan would continue to firmly support international efforts toward peace and stability along with safeguarding national security and sovereignty.

Addressing an Iftar dinner held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honour of diplomatic corps members, he said that as peace-loving nation, Pakistan desires peace with all and enmity with none.” PM Shehbaz reiterated that his administration would uphold principles set forth by nation’s founding fathers.

He said that all Pakistani citizens were given equal rights under Constitution, without exception. He spelled out priorities of government and said that after conclusion of peaceful general elections, progress and prosperity of people of Pakistan is government’s top priority.

He reiterated Pakistan’s firm support to Palestinians in their just and inalienable right to self-determination and stressed need for making sincere efforts to immediately implement recently United Nations Security Council’s adopted resolution for ceasefire.

About holy month of Ramadhan, he said that month signifies more than fasting and gives message of sacrifice, discipline and warm hospitality.
