PM Shehbaz takes notice of Cabinet papers leak

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while taking notice has taken swift action regarding leakage of official documents from Cabinet Division, expressing strong dissatisfaction with situation.

During recent meeting, he reprimanded Secretary of Cabinet Division upon learning about unauthorized release of Cabinet meeting agenda and summaries.

Expressing concern over breach of confidentiality, Prime Minister questioned how such sensitive information was being leaked.

In response to his directives, Secretary of Cabinet Division has implemented stringent measures within department, including ban on circulation of Cabinet agenda and summaries.

Furthermore, Secretary Cabinet Division has issued stern warning, emphasising that strict action will be taken against anyone found responsible for leaking Cabinet-related documents.

To enhance transparency and prevent future leaks, it has been decided to share Cabinet agenda and summaries through dedicated web portal.
