LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership is considering three names for caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, with sources saying that it has also asked for more names for slot. After dissolution of Punjab Assembly, PML-N is considering names of Justice (retd) Khalilur Rehman Ramday, former bureaucrat Nasir Mahmood Khosa and former Chief Justice of Pakistan Jawwad S Khawaja.

Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman has written letter to Acting Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz for appointment of caretaker CM. Hamza is currently abroad.

Experts said that summary paved way for fresh elections for provincial assembly in 90 days before end of April. But for now, consultation process for forming caretaker government would start immediately after dissolution between Elahi and leader of opposition Hamza Shehbaz.

Meanwhile, ex-Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi said consultation has been made with Imran Khan on names of caretaker CM and we have given three names in this regard. Following consultation with Imran Khan three names for caretaker CM including Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, Nasir Ahmad Khan and Nasir Saeed have been agreed upon, he said adding we are sending these three names to Governor Punjab for caretaker CM. If opposition thinks open heartedly then we are seeing agreement on one name. Talking to media men after his meeting with Imran Khan he said meeting of party office bearers has been summoned today. Senator Kamil Ali Agha will also take part in it. Important consultation will be made in this meeting.
