President names Justice Isa next chief justice of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: President DR Arif Alvi approved appointment of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa as Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).

President appointed Chief Justice under Article 175 A(3) of Constitution which will be effective from September 17, 2023, when Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will attain age of superannuation. Chief Justice Bandial will retire on September 16, 2023.
