FAISALABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that elections will not be held on May 14 at any cost and opposition cannot pressurise government. Talking to media, Rana Sanaullah said that opposition’s tactics to pressurise government will be failed and elections will not be held on May 14 at any cost. “Elections will be held in country on same day. Polls will be conducted this year under supervision of caretaker government.”

Criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan, Sanaullah said that this ‘evil’ was imposed on country through conspiracy and his policies destroyed national economy. He claimed that prices of essential commodities like flour, sugar and petrol were low at end of PML-N government in 2013.

He claimed that PML-N government had eliminated loadshedding and terrorism in country. He blamed International Monetary Fund for skyrocketing inflation. He added that IMF set conditions to end subsidies on petrol, electricity and gas.

He said that Nawaz Sharif had brought country out of crisis. Sanaullah said that country was prevented from facing default and economic crisis will be over soon.

He said that PML-N government will bring country of crisis under leadership of Nawaz Sharif and development works will be restarted soon. He criticised that opposition has nothing else to do except for running baseless propaganda. Rana Sanaullah claimed that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan before elections to lead his political party.

He alleged that attempts are being made to conduct controversial elections. He said that security arrangements for Punjab elections are impossible in current circumstances. Sanaullah added that government is being forced to spend billions on security arrangements.
