Retired employees getting arrears every month, says DC Central Taha Saleem

KARACHI: Payment of dues to retired employees continued in District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Central. Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Central Taha Saleem presented cheques of more than Rs 7 million to retired employees and their families’ arrears of retired employees.

He said that although financial resources of Municipality are less, efforts will be made to settle arrears owed by retired employees phase-wise. Accounts compiled and old arrears are being paid to retired employees on first phase. Dues and arrears to retired employees and their heirs are being paid with joint efforts of retired employees. Taha Salim announced a special package for retired employees of under which leave encashment and other dues will be paid every month with an amount of about Rs 10 million.
