Rs15bn promised, Rs4bn received: Sania on IK’s telethons

ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Dr. Sania Nishtar revealed total amount received by donors during former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s fund raising telethon. Recently, former premier had arranged telethon, which was aired on mainstream channels as well as social media to collect funds for flood-hit people. Dr. Sania Nishtar revealed that amount of promised money in telethon was 15 billion rupees, while party received only 4.32 billion rupees in its accounts.

In a written statement, Dr. Sania Nishtar said there were several reasons which caused actual funds to decrease. She said that sanctions over international transactions and unavailability of payment through Credit Cards could be reason this.
