SSUET organises ration, Eid gift drive 2023

KARACHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) organised closing ceremony of Ration and Eid Gift Drive under which ration bags and Eid gifts were distributed among deserving employees of University. Event was attended by Additional Registrar Zubair Hameedi, Prof. Dr. Abraral Haq, Dr. Asma, Dr. Uzma Mehmood, Arch. Afshan Jamshed and others.

Appreciating campaign, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin said, “I am very happy to see that this work has been done in an orderly manner and well-organized system has been developed in this regard. It is good to know that this time, students were also enthusiastically involved in welfare work along with faculty members.”

Registrar Syed Sarfaraz Ali said that humanitarian service is noble act. Helping others, coming to their aid in their time of need is most beloved act in sight of Allah. I feel proud to say that throughout year, University offered welfare services to people because of which people have confidence in us.

Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir, said that social and welfare work is related to your feelings and sensitivity. Helping someone brings inner happiness, which is different experience altogether. Helping mankind is an eternal passion.

Event Organiser Yasir Zaheen said that about 23 departments of University took part in drive and collected about Rs 1.2 million. Computer Engineering Department superseded rest by collecting Rs 375,000. Remaining amount was donated to Indus Hospital, SIUT and Cancer Hospital.
