Yasir Nawaz is a well-known Pakistani media personality, celebrated for his versatile talents in acting, hosting, and directing.

His popular TV dramas include Dil Moum Ka Dia, Baaghi, Bikhray Moti, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, among others. He has also directed acclaimed dramas such as Ghair, Dil Dia Dehleez, Shak, Khudgharz, and Thori Si Wafa Chahiye. Yasir Nawaz is a vocal advocate for artists’ rights and frequently addresses various social and industry-related issues. Recently, Yasir Nawaz appeared in Faysal Quraishi’s podcast Pressure Buhat Hai. In the podcast, he talked about the actors who are currently reviewing Pakistani dramas in a television show of a reputable news channel. Talking about the actors reviewing the dramas, Yasir Nawaz said, “Let them (trollers) speak; I don’t consider their opinions important. Nowadays, actors are also doing the same, those reviewing the dramas. Although, I haven’t watched their reviews, but sometimes clips pop up in my feed. Danish Nawaz once asked me, ‘Don’t you get angry about their bad reviews for your show?’ I replied, ‘Let them do it; I don’t care about their reviews.’

He further added, “However, when it comes to films, I feel a bit more concerned. We are bringing people to cinemas from their homes, and they are spending their money on our productions. At least give us a week or two before forming judgments. As for drama reviews, I really don’t care because people watch them regardless. I believe some reviewers are getting paid for their negative reviews. I’m almost certain they’re compensated for their critical rants”.
