Karachi: Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu inspected CCTV cameras installed with support of Community Policing Karachi (CPK) in control room of Defense Police Station, including NPR camera equipped with modern technology.

Modern NRP camera is capable of capturing vehicle number plate details while special image recognition software has also been installed which will help identify accused.  NPR camera has capacity of database of 2,000 vehicles at time while camera will be linked with AVLC.

Important role of CPK Chief and his team in running project successfully is commendable. At end of ceremony, CPK Chief Murad Ali Soni presented shields and bouquets to police chief and officers.

DIG South, SSP South, SP Investigation, DHA Representative Major Retd Azim and senior police officers were present.
