Census after 10 years in Constitution: Asad Umer

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf General Secretary and former Minister Asad Umer said it is written in Constitution to be held census after ten year, this problem could be solved but politics was made on census.

Mutahidda Qaumi Movement-Pakistan is satisfied on census so they gave vote of confidence to Prime Minister, said Asad Umer.

Addressing to seminar here PTI leader said Khalid Bhai don’t do this. Take one stance inside and outside assembly. He said that some people do not wants to count Pakistanis accurately. Counting of every Pakistani is compulsory. If they could not leave ministries they are only making politics, he added. Further he continued that it is written in Constitution that census after 10 years but politics was played on census.

Asad Umer said that when issue brought to Council of Common Interest Chief Minister Sindh raised objection. CM objected census he himself did. Asad Umer said that our government decided to hold digital census.

Meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced names of new office-bearers of party’s Sindh chapter following directives of Imran Khan. PTI Secretary General Asad Umar announced appointment of MNAs Mahmood Moulvi and Saifur Rehman as senior Vice Presidents of Sindh chapter. Jamal Siddiqui has been appointed as Information Secretary of PTI.

Siddiqui replaced lawmaker Arsalan Ghumman from post of PTI Sindh Information Secretary. Moreover, Nisar Shar was appointed Additional Secretary Information and MPA Adeel Ahmed and Ufaq Baloch was appointed Deputy Information Secretaries. Notification was also issued by Asad Umar in this regard.
