Ch Shujaat tasked to avert PA dissolution in meeting with PM, Asif Zardari

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has been tasked with preventing Punjab Assembly from being dissolved at hands of Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), well-placed sources revealed.

Development came during multiple meetings between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples’ Party co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and Shujaat Hussain.

PM Shehbaz and Asif Zardari decided not to contact Parvez Elahi until green signal is received from Shujaat Hussain, sources added.

Following huddle, Zardari also called on Hussain and discussed various strategies to counter PTI’s plan.

Earlier PM Shehbaz Sharif and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain agreed on further strengthening bilateral cooperation to steer country out of prevailing crisis. Development came during meeting between prime minister and PML-Q leader held at latter’s residence in Lahore.  Furthermore, Shujaat and prime minister agreed to strengthen their mutual cooperation in future.
