CM Murad says message of love, peace always goes from Sindh

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that Arts Council of Karachi has become biggest centre of culture in Pakistan. A number of cultural programmes and work are held in Sindh as in no other province.  Addressing Aalmi Urdu Conference, he said that President and officials of Arts Council deserve congratulations for organising world’s biggest international Urdu conference in Sindh. 

He said that message of love and peace always goes from our province. Assembly of this province had passed resolution of Pakistan and message of love is spread throughout Pakistan from here. Peoples’ Party is patronising Arts Council in making it cultural centre of Pakistan.  He said that people of this province are very loving and message of love has always gone from here to whole country. 

Minister of Culture and Education Sindh Sardar Shah said that Ahmed Shah has made Arts Council true cultural centre of Pakistan. We need people’s support. He said that for first time in Sindh, teachers are being appointed for promotion of music and art in government schools, we need your support so that we can create an enlightened society. 

Zahra Naigh said that it is pleasure to see all of you and sometimes I wonder if this city can show us such beautiful scene. Pakistan is suffering from various problems these days, but common man cannot understand these problems. Holding Urdu conference in midst of rising inflation is brave act.  She said that language is pillar in development of nations, freedom of opinion is of great importance, but at this time it is very difficult time for freedom of opinion.  Ahmed Shah said that people from all over subcontinent came and settled in this city. He said neither atomic bomb nor any weapon is greater than culture. 

Upcoming Pakistan Literature Festival will be held in Gwadar, Lahore, Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan, USA, Canada and other countries as well, he informed. Humorist Anwar Maqsood said that Ahmad Shah has been in this building for long time. Writer is aware of power of his words and wants to be told and written fearlessly in front of cruel world.  Dr. Alex Blaine who came from Great Britain said that I am proud to participate in World Urdu Conference. Different languages ??are spoken all over world and language is best medium of communication. Scholars of Urdu language from all over world increase cultural activities here.  There is no other organisation better than Arts Council, which can use it for purpose.
