Dar sees Pakistan’s future bright despite different challenges

ISLAMABAD: Leader of House in Senate and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan may be confronted by different challenges at moment, but nothing could stop country from progress and development.

Concluding remarks at special commemorative session summoned to celebrate golden jubilee of Senate of Pakistan, he said, “Despite current challenges, I can see bright future for Pakistan ahead of us.

This is my belief and faith that Allah Almighty will protect Pakistan as it was created in name of Kalma.”

He said Upper House from last three days had witnessed great vibrancy celebrating flourishing democratic system and traditions in Pakistan. He said, “During proceeding, we witness peace, soberness, discipline, decency and tolerance.” He said that during three proceedings of special session, Upper House had also witnessed mutual respect and kindness. Ishaq Dar appreciated Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani for holding such mega event to celebrate 50th anniversary of Senate of Pakistan.

He said that under leadership of Senate Chairman, Upper House had become more dynamic, vibrant and progressive in line with international parliamentary standards. He said that administrative and policy measures taken by Chairman of Senate have strengthened federation, Parliament, democracy and governance. He also paid tribute to former chairmen and deputy chairmen of Senate and said their contribution to strengthening Upper House and democracy would always be remembered.
