Karachi: A meeting with Administrator Keamari Municipal Commissioner Salik Ahmed Bhutoki in chair decided taking measures to combat hurricane and stormy rains with strong winds. Abdul Khaliq and officers participated in meeting and discussed measures and arrangements regarding rains, especially cleaning of drains, removal of chokepoints, billboards and hoardings in DMC Keamari.

Low-lying areas including main highways were discussed. There was detailed discussion regarding taking measures on permanent basis to resolve removal of rainwater accumulation.

Concrete measures are being taken under comprehensive plan at municipal level to prevent situation arising from rains and to save people from hardships. Uninterrupted drainage can be ensured. Municipal Commissioner expressed his satisfaction on advance arrangements made by municipality regarding rainfall and ordered concerned institutions to remain alert.
