Islamabad: Renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik visited residence of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, where two discussed matters of religious unity and global challenges facing Muslim community. Dr Naik was accompanied by his son, Tariq Naik.

“You have graced our home with your presence,” Fazl said, adding that Dr Naik’s visit would bring further blessings to his mission. He commended Dr Naik’s style of addressing religious queries, stating, “Way Dr Naik answers questions is defence of Muslim ummah.”
JUI-F further acknowledged that many have been inspired and embraced Islam through Dr Naik’s preaching. “Introducing world to beautiful face of Islam and working towards unity in Muslim ummah are our shared goals,” he said. He emphasised that Dr Naik was not guest but host in his home, reflecting their strong bond.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr Zakir Naik said it had been his long-standing desire to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman, which had now been fulfilled. “Yesterday, some friends came to meet me, but I said I must meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman first,” Dr Naik remarked.

During meeting, Fazl presented Dr Naik with bouquet and gifts, while Dr Naik reciprocated by giving Fazl bottle of perfume. Gathering included prominent religious figures such as Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Asad Mahmood and other senior JUI-F leaders.
