FM Bilawal, Belgian counterpart discuss bilateral, global matters

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Foreign Minister of Belgium Hadja Lahbib and discussed bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. Bilawal appreciated support extended by government of Belgium for flood-affected people of Pakistan.

Both sides expressed resolve to further strengthen economic, trade, investment and cultural cooperation. Bilawal Bhutto also met Axel Van Trotsenburg Managing Director Operations of World Bank and discussed its engagement with Pakistan.

He lauded pledge of World Bank of $ 2 billion made at Resilient Pakistan Conference and also mentioned its important role as major development partner. Both side expressed resolve to achieving shared goals. He expressed resolve to achieve shared goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at World Economic Forum.

Bilawal Bhutto also held meeting with Dutch Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Wopke Hoekstra.
