Gov Sindh visits Nazimabad Community Policing Centre

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori visited Community Policing Centre in North Nazimabad. Community Policing Chief Murad Ali Soni, Deputy Chief Khawaja Jamal Sethi were present. Governor was told that North Nazimabad Centre was established on March 2, 2021.

Ten more such control and command rooms are being set up in 7 districts of city, including Malir City, Soldier Bazar, Clifton, Defence, Korangi Industrial Area, Manghopir and Keamari, through these control rooms, elements involved in crime can be identified. Along with this, crime rate is also decreasing due to them.  Tessori said that establishment of Control and Command Room is welcome thing, undoubtedly, Centre is playing a key role in controlling crimes. Control of crimes is sure with such measures.

He said that economic aorta Karachi will be made a safe city in any case because establishment of peace and security will increase investment while economic, socio-economic and other activities will increase in city.  

Later talking to media, Governor said that by visiting this control and command room today, he was very happy to see efforts of business community that business community is working side by side with government. He said that DIG Police has told me that this month crimes have reduced by 50 percent in this area. Last month there were more than 600 incidents which have reduced to 354. He said that with this kind of control and command and policing system, there is a significant reduction in various incidents. 

He said that clean, services and safe area project will be completed with help of philanthropists. On a question of reduction in efficiency of CPLC, Governor said that CPLC is an important institution which is performing significant services, steps will be taken to make its efficiency more effective.
