Karachi: First of all and on behalf of Iranian people, government of Iran and our supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei, we convey our deepest sorrow and condolences to flood affected people of Pakistan and especially Sindh province.

As Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said, we also believe that people and government of Pakistan and Sindh are so strong that can overcome adverse effects of this natural calamity and rebuild their lives and communities.

However, in order to show that Iran and Pakistan always stand together, especially in difficult situations, we have offered some relief aid to people of Pakistan. For example, Iran’s Red Crescent has recently delivered $ 250,000 worth of aid to Pakistan’s Red Crescent. Iranian diplomats in Karachi and local employees of Consulate General of Iran Karachi have also donated one day of their salary to flood victims of Sindh province.

Hosseinieh Iraniyan in Karachi in cooperation with Consulate General has so far delivered five shipments including necessary food items to flood-affected people of Sindh province.

Consulate General of Iran in Karachi is in contact and coordination with some charities in Iran to donate more aid to people of Pakistan over time.

Today, we host CEO and senior managers of PAIR Company to offer their financial aid to flood-affected people of Pakistan.  PAIR is a Joint Venture Investment Company which has been formed as a result of an agreement between Governments of Pakistan and Iran.
