ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed authorities at flour distribution centres to remove hurdles faced by citizens in verification of their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).

Prime Minister stated this during his visit to flour distribution centre, where federal government is providing free-of-cost flour bags to needy persons. PM Sharif asked relevant authorities to chalk out facilitatory mechanism for person who could only present photocopy of his CNIC in case original card was gone missing. He in this regard, sought report to be presented to him by evening suggesting an alternative way. He directed setting up priority in distribution of flour bags among aged persons and women.

It was decided to give away two flour bags instead of one so that people do not need to visit distribution centres frequently.

Flanked by Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, he took round of flour distribution centre and interacted with people waiting to receive free flour bags. He lauded commissioner and deputy commissioner of Islamabad for excellent arrangements made at flour distribution centre. He expressed satisfaction with proper seating arrangement for people to avoid making them stand in long queues.
