Political matters should not be taken to court, Law Minister Tarar

LAHORE: Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that conversation of an audio leak is very serious, efforts of ignorant people are to bring institutions to face to face. Addressing press conference with Malik Ahmed Khan here, Tarar said that political matters should not be taken to court, court should be careful in many cases.

Tarar said, “Nowadays there is an era of technology and hacking, today audio of senior lawyer and former Chief Justice came out, in modern era of social media, facts cannot be covered.”

He said that efforts were being made to bring court and parliament to fore and some people were trying to provoke political issues. “Controversial decisions of past have caused lot of damage, parliament has been given full power by Constitution, its implementation was stopped before law was issued for first time in country.”

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Malik Ahmed Khan said that an audit of former Chief Justice surfaced and Supreme Court should take notice of this audio.

Malik Ahmed Khan said that many questions were being raised from audio leak released today, “It is becoming clear how parliamentary proceedings can be stopped.”
