ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNAs staged protest outside Parliament House as Islamabad police barred them from entering building. PTI MNAs including Faheem Khan, Aftab Hussain Siddiqui, Saifur Rehman, Aftab Jahangir, Alamgir Khan and others staged protest at Parliament gate after police barred leaders from entering building.

MNAs were chanting slogans against federal government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. They questioned police’s move to lock up gates of Parliament, demanding National Assembly Speaker to show order of day. MNAs said they have brought court orders, reinstating them as members of National Assembly (MNAs). In statement, NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has declared that members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would not be allowed to participate in National Assembly proceedings, following consultation with constitutional experts.

Election Commission’s notification regarding resignations of PTI members has been suspended by Sindh High Court as confirmed by National Assembly spokesperson.
