Sindh decides to add NHA officials in Motorway scam probe

KARACHI: Overall 2.28 billion rupees were misappropriated in Motorway land acquisition scam in Naushehro Feroz district, according to details shared by fact-finding report. Sindh government decided to add National Highway Authority (NHA) officials in corruption probe, sources said.

According to preliminary findings shared by fact-finding committee on Naushehro Feroz Motorway corruption scam, allegedly seven people including Deputy Commissioner of district have been involved in scandal also including private persons.

Money was allegedly drawn in Naushehro Feroz with 502 cheques, according to details of initial probe. Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment has registered case after fact-finding committee’s report.
