Social activist Adil Mehmood receives ‘City Thinker’s Award’ on Pakistan Day event

KARACHI: Journalists Forum Karachi in collaboration with City Thinkers Forum organized an event to mark Pakistan Day at Arts Council Pakistan, Karachi. During the event, the prominent personalities belonging to different fields were awarded with ‘City Thinkers’ shields to recognize their work and services in diversified arenas for the betterment of Karachi and its people.

Addressing to audience, Governor Sindh lauded the efforts of journalist community for always raising their voices for the issues of masses across the board. He also paid rich tribute to eminent journalists Ilyas Shakir and Mukhtar Aqil. Tessori also said that time has come now that we should stand united without any discrimination for our country and should play an active role in getting rid of crises being faced at present thru coordination and collective efforts of all the stake holders. Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori was the chief guest at the event. Administrator Karachi Dr Saif-ur-Rehman, Chairman ABAD Altaf Tai, prominent builders Hanif Gohar, Fayyaz Illyas of Falaknaz Group, former Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Rahila Tiwana, senior journalist and President of Journalists Forum Mukhtar Aqil, Abrar Bakhtiar, General Secretary Sabir Ali, well-known columnist Ghazi Salahuddin, Chairman Z Group of Companies Zeeshan Altaf Lohya, Chairman City Thinkers Forum S M Naeem Kazmi, Social activist Adil Mehmood, CEO Walkeaze Shahzad Mobin, philanthropist Haji Masood Parekh, Chairman Happy Palace Group of Schools Muhammad Asif Khan, Group Head DreamWorld Resort Syed Khurram Shah Jilani and others were also present.

Social activist Adil Mehmood also received ‘City Thinkers’ award for playing his part in highlighting the issues being faced by the Karachiites. While talking to ‘Daily National Courier’, Adil Mehmood said that it is the need of the hour to bring the glory of Karachi back to its right place through collective efforts of all the relevant people including the educationist, politicians, business community and a common man.
