Balochistan CM orders dismissal of 2,000 teachers

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti directed dismissal of 2,000 absentee teachers across province.

Directive came during high-level meeting convened to address concerns within education department, where Chief Minister Bugti underscored imperative of ensuring diligent attendance among educators.

During meeting, Chief Minister Bugti instructed Chief Secretary of Balochistan to expedite process of dismissing absent teachers and to furnish comprehensive report within month.

Stressing need for strict adherence to meritocracy, he asserted that district education officers must be appointed solely based on merit, signaling departure from any undue interference in educational affairs.

Providing insights into financial aspect of education in province, Chief Minister Bugti highlighted that substantial amount of resources, amounting to 5,625 rupees per child per month, is allocated for educational purposes in Balochistan.

Moreover, he revealed that approximately 72,000 rupees are expended per child annually, underlining government’s commitment to providing quality education and investing in future generation.
