Commissioner participates in clean and green drive of District Central, praised DC Taha efforts

Karachi: Clean and green campaign in Central Municipality is moving towards success. Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, CEO of Hum TV Sultana Siddiqui, singer Hasan Jahangir, Durad Siddiqui of Hum TV, Zafar Abbas of JDC visited Clean and Green campaign. Commissioner along with Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem and Municipal Commissioner Central Shamoona Sadaf under 100 parks maintenance projects inaugurated five parks. According to details, five parks after renovation were handed over to public. Badr-ul-Hassan Park Nazimabad No.

3, I Love Pakistan Park Nazimabad No. 3, Asif John Park Nazimabad No. 3, Medina Park Park Nazimabad No. 3 and Children Park Nazimabad No. 4 are included. Number of parks restored by Department of Gardens of Central Municipality increased to 70. Commissioner. Talking to media Iqbal Memon said that he congratulated Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem for restoring 70 parks under 100 Parks Restoration Project after construction and renovation.

He assured his full support for efforts. He said that first goal of local bodies is service and welfare of people. In this regard, people should fully cooperate in restoration works of district. Participants thanked Iqbal Memon for his participation. Municipal Commissioner said that far-reaching results of any work can be achieved when people and administration work together. Keeping streets and neighbourhoods clean and plantation in areas is to minimise environmental pollution.

It should be noted that to make ten-day clean and green campaign of Central Municipality success, people of different schools of thought residing in District are actively participating.
