Customs online complaint management system welcomed: Chief FPCCI

KARACHI: President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Irfan Iqbal Sheikh welcoming inauguration of Pakistan Customs online complaint management system and digital dashboard said for resolution of myriad of complaints and issues as WeBOC had many shortcomings and a user-friendly system was highly-desired, he added.

Inauguration ceremony took place at Federation House Karachi.  Director General of Customs Wajid Ali highlighted main objectives of online complaint management system and digital dashboard as minimising dispute resolution time, minimising physical visits to Customs better oversight by senior management of Customs over each Collectorate and improving Pakistan’s ranking in ease of doing business index as a result.

SVP FPCCI Suleman Chawla said that apex body wants to create awareness and educate business, industry and trade community of Pakistan on system as its success depends on how well and how quickly system is adopted for lodging complaints vis-à-vis customs-related matters.

VP FPCCI Shabbir Mansha said that Customs has rightfully chosen platform of FPCCI as it is uniquely positioned to popularise and create awareness on system across all business sectors and all segments of business community.
