Ex-CM Elahi says Imran Khan misled by PTI’s inside quarters

LAHORE: Former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has asserted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan was misled by some of his party leaders.

Talking to journalists here, Pervaiz Elahi said that his government had done remarkable job within five-month period, suggesting that assemblies should have completed their terms.

“Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz also wanted assemblies to complete their term,” he said, regretting that Imran Khan was misguided by people sitting left and right of him.

Former Punjab CM said that three or four PTI leaders have seriously damaged Imran Khan-led party by misguiding former premier. Without naming anyone, Elahi said that if he had been caught earlier, whole situations would have come under control.

Thanking Imran Khan giving him chance to become Chief Minister, Elahi said that PML-Q will contest next general elections along with PTI Chairman.

Digging at former prime minister Imran Khan’s close aides, Elahi without naming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry said it would have been more Favourable had he been arrested earlier.
